Name: Alexander Siech
Company role: UX/UI Designer
What do you do at Perigee?
Everything design-related. I work with initial concepts for new features all the way to polishing up and sharing the final product with the team.
What’s your story?
Design has been my passion since a young age, but it’s not where my career started!
After studying graphic design in college, I decided to travel. I ended up living in London for 3 years, making the world more delicious as a manager in both a local pie shop and a larger burger place 👨🍳 After 3 years, I started feeling homesick for Sweden and decided to move back.
When I came back, I took up app development, which ended up being an interesting ride and I worked with friends at an incubator before moving onto Android development. The last few years have seen me slowly moving back towards the world of design before making the jump to UX design full time here at Perigee!

What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?
Whenever the sun is out, so am I. I love discovering new restaurants or going on long walks with my girlfriend and my best friend Kalle (my dog 🐶). We love to explore the beach, the park and the forests nearby. Plus I just started playing golf and I’m completely hooked!
What are you passionate about?
I'm really passionate about design in all shapes and forms. The feeling of creating designs that not only improve user experience but also feel just right is really something I enjoy.
How do you think your colleagues would describe you?
Honest but very opinionated I think!
What has been your favorite project at Perigee?
There have been a few very cool things that I’ve worked on here at Perigee.
If I had to choose, I’d say my favorite project was our newest app, Halo. I worked on Halo from the initial concept right through to the final design, so I was super excited to see it come to life, and I also learned a lot along the way.
What skill(s) have you developed while working at Perigee?
First and foremost, I’m becoming much more organised and effective! Other than that, we work in a feedback-centric way which is really refreshing. Working this way has really improved the way I give and receive feedback, which I think is a hugely important skill to have.
