Salads have a reputation of being dry and boring, but that doesn’t have to be the case. With the right ingredients and dressing I guarantee that you’ll be looking forward to salad dinners! Here are my favorite salad ingredients to take your bowl from bland to grand!

Apples

Whether you like them sweet or sour, apples add the perfect crispy juiciness.

Watermelon

There’s nothing more summery than watermelon – especially when added to a salad.

Berries

Berries are amazing in salads, particularly fresh raspberries and strawberries.


Avocado

Avocados add a smooth, rich texture to your salad to complement the crispy vegetables.

Pomegranate seeds

Pomegranate seeds add both taste and juiciness – you barely need a dressing.

Shrimp

Shrimp is a great way to incorporate some protein in your salad, and also adds a ton of flavor.

Sweet potato

If you feel like salads don’t keep you full long enough, try adding in some cubed sweet potato.


Boiled eggs
