Guide to Mobility Training

Your body is a machine, designed to perform. But it’s up to you to keep that machine maintained. Does this mean spending time and money on expensive sports gear and supplements? The good news is, no! All you need is 7 minutes of maintenance work each and every day. Ready to show those muscles and joints some love?

Your body was designed to move

Your body can generate huge amounts of force and endure a ton of punishment and still perform well. But eventually your body will tell you that you’re doing something wrong, and then you’ll have to face pain or even worse – injury. If you’re healthy, don’t wait until you’re injured or in pain to start taking care of your body.

It’s not all about stretching

Mobility is not all about stretching, yoga or doing exercises in a full range of motion. Good mobility is also having a good posture and strong midline with a neutral spine position. This could be worked on by doing plank exercises and other core work.

Things that can affect your mobility:

  • No warm up or cool down
  • Sleep deprivation
  • Dehydration
  • Poor nutrition
  • Prolonged sitting
  • Stress

This is what you can do

Take care of your health like mentioned above. Then do Seven’s mobility workout every other day or at least once a week. If you’re sitting a lot, then stand up from time to time or do Seven’s Office workout. Take your time with the more difficult exercises and improve your technique to perform the movement correctly, instead of rushing through the routine.

Take care of yourself – you only have one body.
