This policy applies to all information collected or submitted in our Cycles app for iOS and any other devices and platforms.
We collect aggregate statistics related to app starts and usage time. If you do not sign up for a Cycles Pro account, no user identifiable information is collected or sent to us. All your data is saved locally on your device and we recommend regular iTunes backups to prevent data loss if you lose your device.
If you create a Cycles Pro account to backup & sync your data across your devices, and share your cycles with your partner, your cycles and symptoms are stored in our own cloud platform to enable this functionality.
If you have enabled the Health app integration, Cycles request access to your menstruation, spotting, cervical mucus quality, ovulation test results, basal body temperature, and sexual activity data. This is collected so you get a unified picture of your cycles and symptoms in Cycles no matter where you entered them. It is never shared with anyone else.
We use information we collect to operate and improve our apps and customer support. We do not share personal information with outside parties except to the extent necessary to accomplish Cycles functionality.
We may share anonymous, aggregate statistics with outside parties, such as how many people actively use Cycles.
We may disclose your information in response to subpoenas, court orders, or other legal requirements; to exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims; to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud or abuse, violations of our policies; or to protect our rights and property.
Your Cycles data is private and we want it to stay that way. To protect it we recommend all our users to use a complex passcode or TouchID to unlock the device Cycles is installed on.
In addition to activating the device lock you can set an app specific lock on Cycles from the app’s settings. Both a 4-pin code and TouchID is available to protect your app from unauthorised access, even if someone has access to your device.
Finally all transfers between the app and our cloud platform uses encrypted communications and your password to your Cycles Pro account is stored using a one-way encryption (“hashing” plus “salting”) and can not be read by us.
